Installation

    *

      Just Drop all the files in your web-hosting and there you go... Your sites is ON!!! :)
    *

      Administration & Settings:
      Go to: http://yoursite.com/admin/index.php
      Login with this following username and password and set your eStore there.

      user: admin
      password: admin

      I've made simple all the settings and I have added several hints there.







Installing Auto eStore on sub directory / folders

To install Auto eStore on sub directory, You must do a little change.to .htaccess
Open the .htaccess file and find this following line:

RewriteBase /

And change it to:

RewriteBase /yourfoldername/








Securing your Site

    1*

      Changing your admin password
      To change the admin password, simply open admin/login.php and change this following lines

      $user_x = "admin";
      $password_x = "admin";

    2*

      Moving your database to safer location
      All the information will be stored on single datafile. The default datafile is data.db3.
      You can change this file to prevent someone from downloading it by renaming the file name.
      After renaming this file, you must edit the config files config.php and admin/config.php

      For example, you may rename the file to gergjhb3h443434.db3
      and you must change the config.php to

      $dbfile = "gergjhb3h443434.db3";

      and the admin/config.php to

      $dbfile = "../gergjhb3h443434.db3";








Using Wordpress Themes

   1. Put the wordpress themes on 'themes' directory
   2. Edit your config.php and change this line:

      $wp_themes = "default";

      change 'default' to your themes directory name

      WARNING:
      The Wordpress Themes solution is still in very early stage.
      Some themes will not compatible with Auto eStore especially premium themes with complex features.
      If your themes don't work, please edit the themes by your own.
      We will work also to make it as compatible as we can. But we can't guarantee 100% because there are thousands of themes out there.

Troubleshooting

    *

      Updating settings failed (You don't have to do this if your eStore already running well)
      Some servers still use the old PHP and SQLite that have a major bug when reading the data files on the root directory.
      You may notice some errors while you updates settings. Something like:

      Warning: sqlite_exec() [function.sqlite-exec]: unable to open database file in /home2/babby/public_html/admin/functions.php on line 97

      To resolve this problem:
         1. Create a directory and set the permission to 777
         2. Move the data files to the created directory
         3. Change the data-files permission to 666
         4. Change both the config.php and admin/config.php

      For example:
         1. Create "g55h67hsrf" directory n set permission to 777
         2. Move the "data.db3" to "g55h67hsrf"
         3. Change the "data.db3" permission to 666
         4. Change the config.php

            $dbfile = "g55h67hsrf/data.db3";

            and admin/config.php

            $dbfile = "../g55h67hsrf/data.db3";

Best Widgets Size

The optimal size for default Auto eStore widgets is:
Sidebar: 160x600
Adsense Banner: 728x90 or 468x60
Adsense Links: 728x15 or 4
Adsense Top: 478x60 or 478x12
Adsense Content: 300x250 or 478x60
Adsense Sidebar: 300x250

The above is only a recommendation, but you can do some research to get the best combination :)

How to Install Auto eStore on Directory

To install Auto eStore on a directory / folder, you must do a little change on the .htaccess file. Open the file and find this following code:

RewriteBase /

and change it to

RewriteBase /yourfoldername/
