LONDON (ShareCast) - Marketing communications group Aegis has snapped up another Internet search business, this time in Thailand.
Following on from its acquisition of search businesses in Belgium, Holland and Germany earlier this year, Aegis has bought Globlet, Thailand's leading search engine marketing consultancy.
Globlet serves a number of local clients in the retail, technology, healthcare and property sectors.
The acquired company will dovetail with the interactive services of Digithais, the interactive agency that was assimilated into Aegis's Isobar unit in 2005.
GLoblet will become part of the Isobar-owned network of iProspect search specialists agencies and will ultimately be rebranded as iProspect Thailand.
"Its conversion to iProspect Thailand will expand our Asian iProspect office network - already in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia - as we establish iProspect as the leadership brand for global paid and natural search worldwide," said Aegis chief executive officer Robert Lerwill.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The value of the gross assets acquired is £0.1m.
